Jeff turned 26 on the 30th of December and it couldn’t have been more perfect weather to go to the beach for the day with friends (sorry to all those people around the world suffering the cold).
14 of us loaded up in 3 4×4’s and hit the frog and toad for fun times.
The waves were pretty fun and the weather that day was absolutely perfect. Good friends, beautiful places, stacks of sunshine, 29 degree water temp and some birthday cheer all added up to some good memories for us at the end of a crappy year.

On the way home we were treated to some amazing sunset images outside of the car window, silhouetting the forestry trees in the foreground and painting the whole sky with beautiful hues of reds, pinks and purples. The burnt sky scape truly makes an amazing end to the perfect day.

Come back and visit - I’ll add some more photos to this post shortly…

had a little fun with the photos last night… thanks to em’s handy backwards writing of “merry xmas” with the torch.

as of 10:38am today i still haven’t managed to start my Christmas shopping… should i leave it a little longer?

I want to start the Christmas rush but i can’t bring myself to the amount of people down town right now. Having presents on Christmas day is nice and all that, but why does everyone seem to go crazy this time of year? Stress everywhere, people swearing at you out the window of the car in the car park if you take more than two seconds… good happy times people!

tis the season to be jolly…

(…unless you try going to the local shopping centre to find a parking space)

much like the rest of the village, we’ve been touring around the Christmas lights displays getting in the mood for Christmas… during which I’ve decided to post a pic or two of the lights displays every night from now until Christmas.

so here is the pic for night #1

…amidst the 4000+ children, lowies smoking, old grannies yelling obscenities in my direction, poor sound/singing quality, 40min lines for food and searing 97% humidity due to a pending storm - the Hervey Bay Carrol’s was a really great experience.

…but seriously.

good times shared with friends, getting into the Christmas spirit hearing Guy Sebastian sing Christmas Carrol’s while sweating out a lung… and some quality time spent mastering the art of “crash landing”, which for those of you who don’t know is one of the best iphone applications available - get if you don’t have it already, you wont regret it and best of all - it’s free!
Congrats to Brady, who in the end, spent the least amount of time on the game and currently holds the highest score: 9309.
Well done champion!

Scoreboard as it stands:
1. Brady (9309)
2. Glen (9264)
3. Paul (9072)
4. Will (9002)
5. Glen (8766)
6. Paul (8697)
7. Paul (8201)
8. Paul (8038)
9. Glen (7941)
10. Brady (7928)

oh yeh… the Carrol’s

nerd talk: all photos were taken on a little silver 8.0MP OlymPUS camera.

Hope the silly season is treating you all well so far and that your not racking up too much debt…

…well another year has passed and here we are at the doorstep of the holidays. Warm weather, Christmas parties & dreams of all the magical experiences we might have over the holidays.

Cheers to all the fellow workmates as wind down, kick back & let the good times roll.
