I’m currently filming the 2010 Easterfest promo video at Easterfest with my friend Matt Ebenezer. Matt is responsible for creating the official Easterfest promo clips. It’s been heaps fun videoing the event with Matt for the last 3 years, not to mention a great experience.
This clip was footage that we shot and Matt edited together for the teaser from the 2008 Easterfest.
Well I hope everyone around these parts has their Toga costumes ready for The Great Australian Togs & Toga Party.
I see that Lyncraft is having a half price sale on material for all of those would be make-your-own goers. As far as Toga selection goes, I think bright & colorful is going to be the new black. If your in our area and you wanna come along to the party - let me know and I’ll see what I can do…
Otherwise, I’ll see you all on the other side and hopefully with some fun pictures.
Took this photo yesterday while I was out on the Mary River with Josh, Brady & Will… Beautiful time of year to be out on the water eh? I love how the air and water temp is the same temp as your skin here in summer. It helps you to forget about the elements and concentrate on your boarding a little better.
The rider is Will Gunn. This is just one of the many inverted tricks that Will can throw down and pull off like clockwork. This trick is called a “Tantrum”. Will has taught me (and many others) pretty much everything i know about wakeboarding.
You should check him out on vimeo. If you don’t have vimeo, GET IT! It’s awesome!
The State Government is trying to dam our river further upstream against pretty much all the locals wishes. There are STACKS of local protests, petitions and organizations against the dam and it has been going on for years now. to read more click the link below and save the mary river. NO DAM!
Nerd: This was my first wakeboarding sequence shot I’ve done with the new D90 (55-200mm) - probably could have been better. I’ll have to work on it
Here is a 5min clip of 2008’s MSHS Year 11 Leadership Camp at Sandy Creek Campsite in St. Mary’s Forestry. The camp was held on the 24th - 27th November 2008 with around 70 students joining in the fun. During the camp we enjoyed quality bush cooking from the camp ovens, leadership games, some rather dodgy “ice breaking” games, swimming and a massive 6 hour hike (well… for some of us).
I took around 3 hours of footage during the camp and have only managed to edit together a short 5 minute clip so far. I plan on making an extended version later on but I guess we’ll see how it goes.
Nerd Alert: the footage was shot in 1440×1080 on a Sony HVR-V1P & a Canon HV30.
Well we have returned from a fantastic camp with some fun stories and good times had by all. I am in the process of putting together a quick 5 min clip of the camp action to download for the kiddies so stay tuned…
I must say - these year 11 students are really impressing me as they are already turning out to be a really great group of people. Looking forward to spending the next year with them and getting to know them all a bit better… (that is unless i happen to get fired again this christmas
well, its friday night and im late for Novemboard… no doubt you will see the footage and many various clips posted for that soon enough…
